Join Antje Huth from Ballybrado for a baking workshop with a difference: learn about different organic grains, their flour and what to make with each. Find out about different techniques to easily make wholesome breads with yeast and sourdough, and then try your luck baking your own goodies to take home (or devour immediately). Be sure to leave some space so you can try some of the delicious samples!
Ballybrado Ltd. was established in 1983 as one of Ireland’s first commercial organic farms, focused on the idea of living and working in harmony with nature. It all began when Josef and Marianne Finke moved to Ireland with their family and friends in search of a greener life. What started out as the idea of self-sufficiency quickly turned into a driving force for the development of the organic movement in Ireland. People from all walks of life flocked to Ballybrado to see organic farming in action, share thoughts and experiences, go on farm walks together, and actively shape organic farming in Ireland. Over 40 years later, Ballybrado is still going strong and the 2nd generation has joined the company, making Ballybrado a true family company.
Having grown up in the business and on the farm, Antje has combined business with a passion for baking. She likes empowering people to start baking their own delicious, healthy food – where you know exactly what’s in it, and better still – what’s not in it.
