Emerging from the Comeragh’s of County Waterford, Ireland, the four brothers (Tommy, Danny, Sean, and Stephen Dunford) form the heart of the brand new trad-fusion band THE WRAN. Inspired by the likes of Moving Hearts, Lankum, Planxty and The Wary Wallopers, The Wran infuse traditional Irish tunes with a punkish attitude and a psychedelic edge. Their sound is built upon banjo, acoustic guitar, accordion, electric guitar, bass and drums, (to name a few) – real powerhouse stuff; intense and furious and then at times dynamic and gentle. The band has only begun their journey, but their dynamic energy and musical prowess leave an enduring impact.
