Bristolian noise collective KNIVES releases their debut album, GLITTER—highlighted by The Wire as
“Very Necessary”—via Marshall Records today. To coincide with the release, the band reveals the
raucous video for ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’. Fans can find ticket/touring information—HERE, stream the
new single, and purchase their debut album GLITTER—HERE.
GLITTER was recorded with producer-engineer Dominic Bailey-Clay at Giant Wafer Studios in the
Welsh Valleys. The album channels diverse influences from hardcore, post-punk, alt-rock, and
experimental jazz into a cohesive yet unpredictable experience.
On touring the album and its release, drummer Erin Cook shares, “Our favourite part about releasing
music is getting to tour. We’ve been playing the new tracks across the UK and Europe, and the reception
so far has been incredible. It's been so cool to see people react to the other album songs we haven’t
played before.
“Rhinestone Cowboy is definitely a crowd favourite. At our headline show in Lille, we had loads of crowd
surfers and people in the mosh pit, which brings out people's energy. After our album releases, we’re
heading to Europe several times and hitting loads of festivals over the summer, which we’re looking forward to.
